This volume is the first Atlas of Mammals in Italy. The volume, in both Italian and English, provides a comprehensive and accurate overview of the distribution, biology, and conservation status of Italian mammals. The accounts of 140 terrestrial and marine species present in the Italian territory are the result of collaborative work carried out by 120 experts from the Italian Mammal Society (ATIt - Associazione Teriologica Italiana).
